NHRC denies Delhi Police claim in media on encounter report

New Delhi, Oct 16 (UNI) The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) today denied reports published in a section of the media that it has received a report from the Delhi Police Commissioner on the Batla House encounter in Jamia Nagar in New Delhi on September 19.

The Commission will take a view on the issue only after a report on the encounter was received by the Delhi Police.

The Commission had issued a notice to the Delhi Police Commissioner on September 24 on the complaint of an NGO, Real Cause.

The complainant had submitted that a team of the special cell of Delhi Police brought two bodies after the alleged encounter.
