NCR bags order for Union Bank ATM security
Mumbai, Oct 16 (UNI) NCR Corporation, a technology company specialising in products for the retail and financial sectors, has bagged an order from Union Bank of India for providing secure channel to the bank's 300 Automated Teller Machines (ATMs).
The company will provide a secure channel to these ATMs with its surveillance technology and install NCR Intelligent Power Management (NIPM) system to reduce power consumption. This will allow customers to complete transactions in case of power failure that are frequently experienced in rural areas, a NCR release said today.
NCR Managing Director Pradeep Sen said ''ATMs have today become an integral part of the customers' banking experience, as many routine transactions are being migrated to this medium -- this not only saves cost for the bank, but also allows them to redeploy its resources for better customer service and sales.''
