Himachal Given Rs 39 Crore For Sarva Shikhsa Abhiyan
New Delhi, Oct 16 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh was given Rs 39.25 crore for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan by September this year, the Human Resource Development Ministry reported today.
The Ministry's Project Approval Board had sanctioned a Re 143.91 crore outlay for Annual Work Plan and Budget 2008-09 to implement the Centre's flagship programme in the State.
The campaign is intended to help universalise primary education in India in keeping with the so-called millenium development goals set by world leaders for 2015.
