HC reserves order on HCP in PMK functionary case
Chennai, Oct 16 (UNI) The Madras High Court today reserved order on a Habeas Corpus Petition (HCP), challenging the detention of Pattali Makkal Katchi(PMK) functionary Kaduvetti Guru under the National Security Act(NSA).
After hearing the arguments from both the sides, the division bench comprising Justices Elipe Dharmarao and S Tamilvanan reserved orders without mentioning the date of its pronouncement.
Three months back, Mr Guru was arrested by the Ariyalur District Police on a criminal case filed by an All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(AIADMK) member and subsequently detained under the NSA.
PMK president G K Mani filed the HCP and sought to quash NSA detention order.
