FKCCI stresses infrastructural development in K'taka
Bangalore, Oct 16 (UNI) The Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FKCCI) today stressed the need for development of infrastructural facilities like land, power, roads, airports, seaports, railways and communications for industrial growth in the state.
FKCCI President D Muralidharan told reporters here that land was the most important component required for setting up any business.
But, the present land legislation in the state was not investor-friendly.
The cost of doing any business in the state was also very high in comparision with other states and because of this; the state lost the Nano project to Gujarat, he said.
There was a great need to sensitise the bureaucracy to the needs of the trade and industry with strengthening of the single window system of clearance, he added.
