ECoR GM unhappy over standard of cleanliness in train
Bhubaneswar, Oct 16 (UNI) East Coast Railway (ECoR) General Manager A K Goyal has expressed his unhappiness over the standard of cleanliness of coaches and lavatories in the trains.
Mr Goel during his recent surprise inspection of coaches at Bolangir railway stations expressed his disastifaction over the cleanliness in train and asked the senior officials of Sambalpur division to ensure that a system of cleaning of coaches and lavatories at Bolangir was put in place.
He also announced to substantially improve the services on Bhubaneswar-Bolangir 2893/2894 Inter-city Express.
The General Manager conducted station-to-station monitoring during his tour on the facilities available to passengers and asked senior officials to rectify the deficiencies in services to passengers at some stations, especially with regard to improvement in lighting on platforms.
He asked the authorities in the Carriage Repair Workshop at Mancheswar to upgrade the available facilities on the train with better quality seats, upgraded AC coach, aesthetic interiors and music system.
