Customs official recover heroin worth Rs.3.51 crore
Mumbai, Oct 16 (UNI) The customs authorities here have arrested a foreign national and seized 3.51 kgs heroin, worth Rs 3.51 crore in the international market, before he was to board an Ethiopian Airline flight to Adis Ababa today.
Additional Commissioner of Customs B S Nunwal, in a release here, said the foreign national was moving in a suspicious manner at the International Airport here by AIR Intelligence Unit when he was intercepted.
The packets of narcotic substance were recovered after they were cleverly concealed in the false inner top and bottom of the suitcase, wrapped in a brown tape and put in the sole of sandal of 'cooler make'.
The narcotic substance was kept in four packets and valued at Rs 11.42 lakh in the local market.
