Complainant turned hostile in a corruption case
Davanagere, Oct 16(UNI) A government Higher Primary School teacher was placed under suspension as he had allegedly turned hostile during trail in a corruption case filed by Lokayukta in the district.
Lokayukta SP Ravikumar Naik informed newsmen that N Shivamurthy a primary school teacher was a complainant in a corruption case filed against a Village Accountant two years ago.
The suspended teacher had complained to Lokayukta in 2006 against a village accountant who had allegedly demanded Rs 600 to issue a bona fide certificate.
The Lokayukta police have trapped the Village Accountant while accepting the bribe and during the trail in the District and Sessions court the complainant turned hostile the Lokayukta Police said.
