CCEA approves pay structure implementation of NPPC

New Delhi, Oct 16 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today gave its approval for implementation of Pay structure of 1997 in the Nagaland Pulp and Paper Company Ltd (NPPC) at Tuli in Nagaland.

Briefing newspersons on the outcome of the CCEA decisions, Minister for Science and Technology Kapil Sibal said it will be effective from June 26, 2007.

Set up in 1971, NPPC is a subsidiary of the Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd (HPC), a wholly owned Central Public Sector Enterprise under the administrative control of the Department of Heavy Industry.

It was established to exploit the abundant bamboo resources in the state of Nagaland for regional development.
