Bhujbal declares compensation for accident victims

Nashik, Oct 16 (UNI) Mahatma Phule Samata Parishad founder president and Guardian Minister Chhagan Bhujbal today announced compensation for victims of the two accidents that occurred in the district today and yesterday.

The compensation was declared by Mr Bhujbal on behalf of the Samata Parishad as most of the victims were activists of the organization and met with the accident while going to Mumbai to attend the 61st birthday celebration of Mr Bhujbal.

''The kin of the four dead will be given Rs two lakh each as compensation. The injured will get aid of Rs 25,000, whereas those with minor injuries will receive Rs 10,000,'' Mr Bhujbal said in an interaction with journalists after visiting the injured people at the Civil Hospital here today.

''I will also visit Dhule to meet the bereaved families,'' he added.

The victims of today's Vadalibhoi accident and yesterday's accident near Gonde Phata were from Dhule district.
