AI denies reports of sending employees on leave
Mumbai, Oct 16 (UNI) Air India (AI) today denied media reports that the company was taking steps to send employees on leave.
AI spokesman Jeetendra Bhargav told UNI that the reports were ''totally incorrect''.
He said ''Air India is considering a proposal under which employees from non-operational areas will be allowed three to five years leave without pay.'' He clarified that this leave does not mean the loss of job and said the employees can opt for this leave on a voluntary basis.
After completion of the leave, they can rejoin the job, he added.
