Son kills mother for not paying money

Barrackpore, Oct 15 (UNI) A Sixty-year-old beggar was allegedly killed by his son at a rural village in West Bengal last night, police said today.

The crime happened late last night when 30-year-old Satyagopal Roy bludgeoned her widow mother Nilima Roy, who eked out her living by begging, just for few rupees.

Police said Roy struck her mother to death when she failed to give money to her son at their Basudebpur residence under Belgharia police station in North 24 Pargana.

The son was arrested.

Angry locals incidentally beat Satyagopal and handed him over to the police. A murder case was registered against Satyagopal, police said.
