Revenue department steno-cum-typist arrested

Mumbai, Oct 15 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested a steno-cum-typist of the revenue department while accepting a bribe of Rs five thousand at Mantrayala in south Mumbai.

According to ACB sources here, the complainant had filed an application with revenue department, Mantralaya, Mumbai, seeking reconsideration of their application of a plot with the purchasing party.

The complainant had requested the steno-cum-typist Sunil Ganpat Kate to fix the hearing on his application. Ganpat demanded Rs five thousand for fixing the hearing date.

The complainant then approached the ACB, Worli and lodged a complaint against him. After verification of the complaint, ACB sleuths laid a trap at Mantralaya this afternoon and arrested him while accepting the bribe from the complainant.
