K'taka CM congratulates Booker Prize winner
Bangalore, Oct 15 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today congratulated Mr Aravind Adiga, an Indian writer of Karnataka origin, on winning the Man Booker Prize for Fiction 2008 for his first novel 'The White Tiger.' In a message sent to the young writer, the Chief Minister said ''we are indeed proud of this achievement by you, it will go a long way in inspiring youngsters to produce quality literature.'' Mr Adiga hailed from Mangalore in Dakshina Kannada district.
