CSC to hire 2,000 people by March-09
New Delhi, Oct 15 (UNI) Amidst big corporate houses retrenching employees over the global financial turmoil, here comes an exception with IT services firm Computer Sciences Corp (CSC) announcing its plans to hire 2,000 people in India in the next six months to keep up its good performance in manufacturing and financial services.
''At present, our headcount is 18,000 and in the next six months, we plan to raise it to 20,000...we have registered a robust growth in manufacturing and financial services segment, and to maintain it, we are hiring more people,'' CSC Operations India President Rajendra B Vattikuti told reporters here.
Headquartered in Virginia, the company has nearly 90,000 employees and a revenue of 17.1 billion dollars for the year ended July 4, 2008.
