BJP avoids comments on Patnaik's remarks on Bajrang Dal
New Delhi, Oct 15 (UNI) The BJP today avoided commenting on the statement of Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik terming Bajrang Dal as 'fundamentalists' when it said it could not object to different views of perception in a democracy.
Asked for his comments on Mr Patnaik's description of Bajrang Dal or similar comments from the Janata Dal (United) leaders, BJP spokesman Ravishankar Prasad said the BJP respected views of different perceptions. 'Certainly not', was Mr Prasad's answer to a question if such comments would not hurt the NDA alliance.
