Arrangements for annuual darbar move reviewed in Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 15 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary S S Kapur reviewed the arrangements made for the annual darbar move, an official said today.
The offices, including those of Governor N N Vohra, his advisors and other top functionaries of the state government are closing here on October 31 to be reopened at Jammu on November 10.
The meeting decided that for carrying office record from Srinagar to Jammu the SRTC would provide required number of truck fleet, besides, buses for the employees, the spokesman said.
The buses would be available on October 25, 26, November 1, 2, 8 and 9, for the employees moving from Srinagar to Jammu.
The trucks and buses carrying record and employees would be provided necessary security.
Traffic police have also been asked to check over charging from moving employees by the Sumo during the move days.
The spokesman said it was also decided that Deputy Commissioners of Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam, Ramban and Udhampur would make necessary arrangements for ensuring hygienic food items available for the move employees on the national highway.
The Health Department would provide medical facilities including stand by ambulances at all hospitals along with the national highway.
Director Health Services of Kashmir to accompany the convoy during the move days.
Addressing the meeting the Chief Secretary asked the concerned departments to be in close coordination to facilitate the moving of employees. He asked the Estates Department to ensure proper accommodation for the moving employees and see that proper cleanliness and other facilities were provided to them at residential quarters.
