Achuthanandan blames UDF for Centre's 'step-motherly' attitude
Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 15 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today alleged that the Congress-led Opposition United Democratic Front (UDF) was playing a role in the Centre's 'step-motherly' attitude towards the state.
Talking to reporters here, he said the UDF was speaking in a different tone while pressing the demands of the state to the Union Government.
''If the Opposition was sincere, they will never organise an agitation in front of the state secretariat on October 17, the day when I and my cabinet colleagues will stage dharna in front of Parliament,'' the Chief Minister said.
Mr Achuthanandan said he would leave for Delhi along with his cabinet colleagues tomorrow to stage the agitation in front of Parliament against the Centre's 'neglect' to the state.
