New prepaid service from Virgin Mobile
New Delhi, Oct 14: With an aim to capture 10 per cent market share in the urban youth segment, Virgin Mobile launched its new prepaid service, where all STD and local calls can be made at 50 paise per minute across networks.
''Launching the new prepaid service will help us to capture a 10 per cent market share in the urban youth segment,'' Virgin Mobile India Chief Executive Officer M A Madhusudan told reporters here. Virgin Mobile India Ltd, a cellular telephone service provider company, is a 50:50 joint venture between Tata Teleservices and Richard Branson's Virgin Group. Currently, the company uses Tata's CDMA network to offer its services under the brand name Virgin Mobile.
