UGC team on visit to Nagaland

Kohima, Oct 14 (UNI) An eleven-member team from the University Grants Commission (UGC), which arrived here on Sunday, is on a week-long tour to Nagaland.

A statement issued here today by Vice-Chancellor of Nagaland University (NU) Prof K Kannan said the UGC team, led by former Vice-Chancellor of North East Hill University (NEHU) Prof.Mrinal Miri, will visit all the three campuses of NU at Kohima, Medziphema and Lumami to determine the plan size and budgetary allocation for the university for the 11th Five Year plan.

The team will also have separate discussions with the Nagaland University Teachers Association (NUTA), Non-Teaching Staff Association and Post-Graduate Students' Union on various matters related to the university, the VC said.
