TN CM announces 20 pc bonus to CSC employees
Chennai, Oct 14 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today announced 20 per cent bonus to the employees of the State Civil Supplies Corporation(CSC) for the year 2007-08.
In a release here, he said based on the demands putforth by the CSC Union and other unions, the Government decided to pay 8.33 per cent bonus and 11.67 per cent ex-gratia.
This would entail an expenditure of Rs 10.76 crore to the Government and would benefit 16,340 CSC staff and seasonal employees.
Mr Karunanidhi also announced that for the first time loadmen in the Paddy Procurement Centres of the CSC would be given an ex-gratia of Rs 1000 to the tune of Rs 1.32 crore, benefiting 13,225 loadmen.
