Temple earns Rs 1.43 cr revenue during Navaratri
Vijayawada, Oct 14 (UNI) The Kanakadurga temple atop Indrakeeladri Hill here has earned a revenue of Rs 1.43 crore by way of collection in 39 hundis during the ten-day 'Navaratri' festivities, which ended on October nine.
Talking ot UNI today, a Devasthanam official said the hundi collection this year had increased by Rs 16 lakh than last year.
Devotees donated 456 gms of gold and 13.891 kg silver to the temple during the festival.
In all, the temple earned Rs 2.64 crore revenue during the Dasara festival through special poojas, prasadam sales, special darshan tickets and hundi.
About 15 lakh people visited the temple during the festival.
