Mamata meets Prez, PM in connection with 'Nano' project
New Delhi, Oct 14 (UNI) Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here today and submitted to him a fact sheet in respect of the development of Tata Motors' ' Nano' car project at Singur in West Bengal and sought his personal intervention in this case.
According to informed sources, the meeting lasted nearly 50 minutes and the PM gave her a patient hearing.
Thereafter, Ms Banerjee drove to see President Pratibha Deviasingh Patil.
The Trinamool Chief is expected to handover a copy of the same fact sheet to the President to apprise her of the development which ultimately resulted in the shifting of the car project from West Bengal's Singur to Sanad in Gujarat.
