LG contemplating price hike post-Diwali
New Delhi, Oct 14 (UNI) Reeling under the pressure of rising input costs, LG Electronics today said it may hike prices of its imported products by three to five per cent after Diwali.
''We will study our sales and profit structure and other cost factors after Diwali. We might increase prices of some of our products by three to five per cent...Prices of some our imported products like our high-end LCD TV, refrigerator and washing machines may go up.'' LG Electronics India Managing Director Moon B Shin said here.
Though the company has manufacturing facilities in the country, it still imports a lot of material and component from other countries.
The move hardly comes at a surprise as other players like Samsung also contemplating a price hike post Diwali.
