Kate Middleton snapped using mobile while driving

London, October 14 : Kate Middleton has been caught red-handed for using her mobile phone whilst driving.

The royal bride in waiting, who has a clean public record, was spotted chatting on her phone while she wheeled her sports model Audi A3 along a country lane.

Had she been caught by the police, the 26-year-old would have been fined 60 pounds and given three penalty points for breaching the law.

Roger Vincent, spokesman for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents warned that she and many others should realise the danger involved that has ended many lives on the roads.

"Using a mobile phone while driving is extremely dangerous and has cost numerous lives," the Sun quoted him as saying.

"Drivers are four times more likely to crash if they are on their mobiles.

"Even though you think you are in control you are not going to be able to react as quickly to the unexpected," he added.

Vincent further said: "We would urge Kate Middleton, and others, to realise the misery that is caused.

"It's extremely sad, no matter who it is, that people are not getting the message."

An onlooker who witnessed the law-breach near her Berkshire residence said: "She seemed to be going quite quickly. And you could quite clearly see she was on the phone.

"It is not exactly a busy road but it's narrow in places and you need to concentrate because you never know what's around the next corner."
