Gold fell by Rs 270 per 10 gm on Oct 14

Mumbai, Oct 14: Gold fell by Rs 270 per ten gm to Rs 13,075 in the opening session on Tuesday, Oct 14 from its previous close, following sluggish demand by local dealers, traders in the Bombay Bullion Association said. While, silver rose by Rs 90 per kg to Rs 19,150 on sustained demand, they said.

In London, too, a mixed trend was seen as gold was quoted low at USD 847.00/848.50 per ounce (USD 861.00/862.50), while silver was quoted high at USD 10.86/10.87 an ounce (USD 10.61/10.62), market report said. Following were the opening domestic spot rates: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade: Rs 19,150 Gold (per 10 gm): 99.5 purity standard mint: Rs 13,075 99.9 purity pure gold: Rs 13,140.
