Case registered against Min's son for allegedly raping German mino

Panaji, Oct 14 (UNI) A case has been registered against Rohit, son of Goa Education Minister Antanisio Monseratte, at Calangute police station today on a complaint filed by a German woman Fadela Fuchs that he had allegedly sexually assaulted her 14-year-old minor daughter.

The North Goa SP Bosco George, speaking to mediapersons here, said the police team searched the residence of the Minister but his son was not found there.

The suspect has been booked under Section 293 related with the 109 IPC and Section 8(2) of the Goa Children's Act 2003 (rape, outraging modesty, sending lewd and obscene sms, abetment).

The notice under Section 160 of CrPC has been issued to seek his presence for investigation/interrogation and to be present immediately after getting notice.

Rohit's father accepted the notice and assured police to produce him for interrogation.

The SP said Ms Fuchs had filed her complaint on October 2, accusing Rohit of allegedly sexually assaulting her minor daughter, outraging her modesty and sending obscene text messages through his father's mobile phone.
