Bomb explodes in UP city, panic prevails

Kanpur, Oct 14 (UNI) Panic gripped this city of Uttar Pradesh after a bomb explosion wounded five persons in Bajaria area this evening.

According to police, the explosion occurred in a bicycle at Purani Sharab Gaddi locality.

The bomb explosion was, however, of low intensity and bits of paper and bomb were recovered on the spot.

However, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Harey Ram Sharma has denied it being a terrorist attack.

Senior police and administrative officials have reached the spot and the wounded admitted to hospital.
