Amitabh's condition improves

Mumbai, Oct 14 (UNI) Bollywood Thespian Amitabh Bachchan's condition is steadily improving and he is responding well to treatment today at the Lilavati hospital in suburban Mumbai.

A health bulletin, issued by the hospital, said he had a good night's sleep and his condition on the fourth day is better.

The actor was admitted to the hospital on his 66th birthday last saturday after he complained of acute abdominal pain. He underwent endoscopy, CT scan and a series of other tests since then.

Amitabh's family has thanked all his well-wishers for their get-well messages and concern on the actor's health.
