8 awarded life sentence for murder in UP
Jaunpur, Oct 14 (UNI) Altogether eight persons were handed down life imprisonment by a local court into a murder case today.
As per prosecution, one Firtu Ram was beaten to death by Ved Prakash, Om Prakash, Jai Prakash, Ashok Kumar, Kangal, Gabbar, Ramharan and Manthlal, following a spat over construction on a piece of land at Bhutkhurha village on November 18, 2003.
Finding them guilty into the crime, Additional District and Sessions Judge Arun Kumar Mishra pronounced life sentence upon them.
Besides, a fine of Rs 5,000 was imposed on each accused.
