Woman pickpocket caught after hot chase

Tiruchirapalli,Oct 13 (UNI) A woman pickpocket was caught after a hot chase by a passerby at the Busy Chintamani Chatram Bus Stand here today.

Police said Sahira hailing from Poondi in Thanjavur District was carrying Rs one lakh to purchase gold ornaments for her daughter's wedding.

She was travelling in a city bus. Lakshmi of Thanjavur snatched the cash bag,jumped out of the running bus and attempted to escape from the scene.

As Shahira was crying, the passerby gave a hot chase and caught the woman pickpocket and recovered the money. She was later handed over to the police.
