Ultras call strike on October 15 in Manipur

Imphal, Oct 13 (UNI) Three underground outfits have called for a general strike on October 15 from 0100 hours to 1730 hours to oppose the alleged annexation of the region by the government in Manipur.

The organisations, namely Manipur Peoples' Liberation Front (MPLF), Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) and Tripura People's Democratic Front (TPDF), said in a statement that there should be a complete black-out for 15 minutes from 1900 hours on the day.

October 15 had been observed as the ''National Black Day'' since the past nine years by the proscribed outfits.
