Software pro held for travel on fake passport
Chennai, Oct 13 (UNI) A software engineer was arrested this morning at the Anna International Airport here for travelling on a fake passport.
Airport sources here said S Saravana Kumar (36) had been working in Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur for the last three years.
He received a message saying his father R Balasubramanian was seriously ill. Since his employer refused to handover his passport for travel, Kumar procured a fake one through some agents.
Last night, the accused was detained by the Immigration Authorities after his arrival by a Malaysian Airlines Flight.
This morning he was handed over to the Aiport Police who arrested him. He was remanded to custody.
