Fog disrupts flight operations at Karippur

Kozhikode, Oct 13 (UNI) Flight operations at Karippur International Airport near here were disrupted due to poor visibility caused by heavy fog this morning.

Airport sources told UNI that landing and taking off operations were affected from 0530 hrs due to thick fog, forcing the authorities to divert some of the flights scheduled to arrive to other airports.

However, normalcy at the airport, which operated flights mainly to the West Asia destinations, was restored by 0900 hrs after improvement in weather conditions, they added.
