Dasara preparations to begin 6 months ahead from next year
Mysore, Oct 13 (UNI) Preparations for the Dasara festivities next year would begin six months in advance, Karnataka Rural Development and Panchyat Raj and District Incharge Minister Shobha Karandlaje said today Talking to newspersons here, she said overall development of the Heritage City would be taken up shortly.
Stating that Chief Minister B S Yeddiyurappa had already announced Rs 100 crore for this purpose, he said adding the civil works would be taken up six months ahead of the Dasara festivities from next year onwards.
As review meetings would be held every month throughout the year, there would be no scope for sub-standard works in the district, she said and added that she would take utmost care for the various developmental activities in the coming days.
