Clash between jail inmates, one die

Indore, Oct 13 (UNI) A prisoner, who was injured during a clash between jail inmates at central jail here yesterday, has died today.

Confirming the death of Anna Wasim, Jail Superintendent Sanjay Pandey said Assistant Jailer R S Pandey had gone to intervene during the clash between inmates but he was attacked and injured.

Mr Pandey said the situation was controlled by blowing alarm.

Injured inmates were later rushed to hospital where Wasim died this morning.

Wasim had been awarded sentence in a dacoity case recently. A case has been registered against 16 prisoners.
