Woman murdered in Auroville

Puducherry, Oct 12: A 30-year-old woman, reportedly missing for the last two days, was found dead at a cashew grove, near Auroville, in Villuppuram district last evening.

Police said her face was burnt with petrol. However, the victim was identified by her relatives.

It was suspected that the woman, Isebella, was gang raped and murdered.

It was reported that the woman had gone out of her house on Thursday last to make a call to her husband Albert, who is working in Dubai, and was missing ever since and her mother lodged a complaint with the Odeansaalai police station.
