Three dead , 20 injured in petrol pump fire

Jaipur, Oct 12(UNI) Three people were killed and over 20 others injured in a major fire which broke out at a petrol pump in the Shastri nagar locality here.

Police and fire brigade sources said the blaze which broke out at 2345 hrs last night probably due to accidental lighting of a lighter or matchstick, soon engulfed the entire area of the filling station and some nearby buildings.

As many as 15 fire tender unit from diffrent fire stations took more than five hours to bring the flames under control.

While a cabin man died on the spot, two of the injured succumbed at the SMS hopital here today. Two others were still being treated whereas others were discharged after first aid the sources added.
