Thai national arrested for carrying "airgun"
Kolkata, Oct 12 (UNI) A Thai national bound for Bangkok was held at NSCBI airport here today for trying to carry an ''airgun'' in his registered baggage.
According to police, the passenger claimed that he had bought the armament in this country but failed to produce any documents. He had also not declared that he was carrying the armament.
He had dismantled the armament into several parts, wrapped it in paper and concealed in his baggage.
The armament weighed more than a normal airgun, police stated.
All these aroused the suspicion of the police about his motive.The passenger was arrested and produced in court which remanded him in jail custody for a week.
