Panic in BB cantonment in Srinagar, soldier dies

Srinagar, Oct 12 (UNI) Panic gripped Badami Bagh cantonment when firing was heard from a transit camp, official sources said today.

Soldiers rushed out of their barracks after hearing the firing, they said.

Later it was learnt that Havaldar Jalander Yadav of 109 Infantry Territorial Army (TA) was critically wounded in accidental fire.

However, he died before he could be shifted to the nearby base hospital.
