One burnt alive, 20 injured in petrol pump fire

Jaipur, Oct 12(UNI) One person was burnt alive and over 20 others were injured in a major fire which broke out at a petrol pump in the Shastri nagar locality here.

Police and fire brigade sources said the blaze which broke around 2345 hrs last night probably due to accidental lighting of a lighter or matchstick, soon engulfed the entire area of the filling station and some nearby buildings.

As many as 15 fire tender unit from diffrent fire stations took more than five hours to bring the flames under control.

Four of the injured were admitted to the SMS hospital in a critical condition whereas others were discharged after first aid the sources added.
