NSCN cadre shot dead in Dimapur

Kohima, Oct 12 (UNI) Unidentified gunmen shot dead one NSCN/GPRN cadre at Diphupar area in Dimapur town.

The incident took place yesterday a day after the cease-fire was called between the NSCN factions to facilitate a reconciliation Soccer match.

Official sources quoting eyewitnesses said that the victim was chased by three gunmen who shot him on his chest.

On hearing the incident, police rushed to the spot and found the victim alive who was immediately rushed to Dimapur Civil hospital, where he succumbed.

Police reportedly recovered two empty cases of M20 pistol bullet from the spot, sources added.
