Bali calls for dialogue with agitating PTA teachers
Kangra, Oct 12 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh Transport Minister and MLA G S Bali has urged the state government to start negotiations with the agitating PTA and HRTC employees and sort out the issues amicably.
Addressing a press conference at his residence here today, he said that HRTC was a disciplined organisation but required proper attention of the government. He said that Transport Minister Kishen Kappor must rise to the occasion and bring the HRTC employees across the table and accept their genuine demands.
Mr Bali said that the previous Congress government as a policy matter appointed PTA so that education reaches every nook and corner of the state. He said that it was unjustified and against the government policy to show door to all the PTA teachers.
He further said that a committee was formulated to see if there was any violation made in the criteria adopted in case of the appointments of the PTA teachers. He called for a dialogue with the agitating PTA.
