VCK volunteers held for holding demo on Lankan issue

Puducherry, Oct 11 (UNI) Over 350 volunteers of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi(VCK) were arrested here today when they staged a rail-roko to condemn the killing of innocent Tamils in Sri Lanka.

They were arrested when they allegedly barged into the Railway Station and squatted before the Puducherry-Tirupati Train.

They were seeking to press the intervention of the Centre to find an amicable settlment to the ethnic problem in the island nation.
