Tercentenary celebrations commence in Nanded
Nanded, Oct 11 (UNI) The tercentenary celebrations of Guru-ta-Gaddi of Guru Granth Sahib commenced here yesterday.
As part of this colourful celebration programme, a horse race was organised for the first time at Guru Gobind Singhji stadium in the city yesterday.
In another such programme, 70 horses, owned by the Punjab-based Taruna Dal (young troops) and the Buddha Dal (old troops), demonstrated their horse-riding skills, in which they rode two horses at the same time.
Apart from these shows, spear and sword fights were also held, which were witnessed by thousands of people.
The celebrations will continue till November three.
