Rains likely to occur in Kerala, Lakshadweep

Pune, Oct 11 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep.

They are likely to occur at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, coastal and south interior Karantaka, and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa, Marathwada, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema and north interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail in Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The south-west monsoon has been vigorous in central Maharashtra.

It has been subdued in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu.

In the region from where south-west monsoon has withdrawn, day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh and in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh. They were above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. They were normal over the rest of the region.

The night temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujrat region and in some parts of Saurashtra, and were above normal in west Uttar Pradesh and in some parts of Haryana. They were normal over the rest of the regions.

Heavy rains have occurred at many places in Madhya Maharashtra and at isolated places in Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Kerala and at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and at isolated places in Assam, Meghaalaya, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa, Marathwada, Telangana, coastal Karnataka, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Maindy dry weather prevailed in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, west Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalseema.
