Major fire breaks out in bar dancers building

Mumbai, Oct 11 (UNI) A major fire broke out in a two-storeyed residential building, occupied by bar dancers, at Bachoo Seth Ki Wadi on Foras road in south Mumbai tonight.

According to the Fire Brigade sources, the fire broke out at around 2100 hrs in a bar dancer's room, which was locked.

Incidentally, at the time of fire, most of the dancers were away.

Only few of them were housed in the building, who performed 'Mujra'.

Five fire engines, two tankers and one ambulance rushed to the spot. They extinguished the fire within 45 minutes. No casualties have been reported.

The fire was caused due to a lamp burning inside the room, sources added.

Former minister and local MLA Sayed Ahmed also rushed to the spot and supervised the rescue operation.
