'Human bombs' arrested in Punjab, were to eliminate Ram Rahim
Patiala, Oct 11 (UNI) The Punjab Police today arrested three militants, including two human bombs and foiled yet another attempt to assassinate the Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and some of his followers.
The arrested human bombs, included a woman were assigned the task of carrying out a suicidal attack on Ram Rahim, SSP S K Asthana told a hurriedly summoned media conference here today.
The district police chief maintained that former Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) militant, Bakhshish Singh was the mastermind behind this plot and he was still at large.
The two arrested human bombs, were Amarjeet Singh and Gobind Kaur, while the third militant was identified as Bagicha Singh. They had all been booked under Sections 419, 420, 465, 471, 153-A, 108 and 120-B of the IPC. The case was registered at the Samana police station.
The three were members of a new outfit, 'Bhindrawala Action Committee, set up by Bakhshish Singh, with the sole motive to eliminate Ram Rahim.
"The three arrested militants had procured mobile numbers on the basis of fake identities and were in touch with Bakhshish Singh", he added.
