CPI(Maoist) try to abduct station master in J'khand
Jamshedpur, Oct 11 (UNI) The ultras of proscribed CPI (Maoist) attacked the Mahadeo Shal railway station of South Eastern railways in West Singhbhum district and tried to abduct the station master (in-charge) late last evening.
Suprintendent of Police Sudhir Kumar Jha told UNI that more than ten ultras entered in one of the cabins of this small station, located in forest area under Chakradharpur-Rourkela section, and manhandled the station master (in-charge) Y C Somaya.
''The ultras also tried to abduct Mr Somaya, but he managed to escape as the ultras ran away after hearing the hooting of a train coming from Manoharpur,'' Mr Jha said.
Later, Mr Somaya, who was hiding in a nearby temple, informed the police, Mr Jha added.
The movement of several trains, including the Howrah-Kurla express, was affected following the incident.
