CPI (ML) Liberation to be strengthened in south
Kottayam, Oct 11 (UNI) CPI (ML) Liberation General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya today charged that Communists in the country had betrayed the people.
Revitalising the Communist as well as the Left movement throughout the country was the aim of the CPI (ML) Liberation, he told newspersons here.
Mr Bhattacharya was on his first visit to Kerala after assuming charge as General Secretary of the party.
The CPI (M) governments in West Bengal and Kerala were like derailed trains. In the name of industrialization the West Bengal and Kerala Chief Ministers were launching a systematic attack against the peasantry. Industrialisation could not be achieved by appeasing capitalists or allowing them to plunder property, he charged.
He said steps were being taken to strengthen the party in the southern states.
The US was engulfed in a financial crisis and the intention was to pass on its crisis to other nations, he charged.
Describing the UPA as ''Unashamed Partners of America'', he said the day when the Indo-US nuclear deal was signed would be remembered as 'black day' in the history of the nation.
